Looks like WEFC (former WDRL-TV) is off air again

According to FCC documents, the sale to Jones Broadcasting fell through, and the receiver has taken the station off the air again, even so, they were only putting out 200 watts ERP due to a blown (and non-replaceable) transmitter final tube.

The FCC documents also hint that the receiver has a sale of the facilities and license pending to another "established" broadcaster, so it may not be off air for long. It will be interesting to see who next tries to step in and get Channel 24 going.

Later . . . .

Yes their trasmitter did go down last December, but they bought one from Maine Public Broadcasting, and I believe the FCC gave 6 months to get it repaired, also Jones broadcasting is trying to buy Channel 26 low power WEDD-TV Roanoke for their CVN network?
