these things depend on the label, or outside promoters;
then again, maybe they all just suddenly like the record
Maybe the jock himself hates that song. He can say anything he wants on the air and he can have a friend call in and say that they hate the song. Why would someone call the station if they hate the song? There's something called a tuning knob/button. If you don't like the song, change the station. Calling the station probably will make it play the song more.JohnParker said:Interestingly, a jock on Z100 said that the calls they are getting on this record are 50 - 50 for/against. BTW, he said that on the air after airing a caller saying they hated the record. Not sure why they would air something so negative on a record they are playing.
Digital Sales have also flatened out on this one for the moment. They are going to have to work on getting some big markets quick to sustain the momentum on this one.

A jock can hate a song all he or she wants, its not their call. When they are on the air, this is the greatest song in the world. If one of my djs ripped on a song on the air, they are going to hear about it and possibly be canned
Why people call stations cause they hate something? I guess you havent worked in radio that long. Watch Private Parts it will explain that reason. People will call in to embarass the dj or host all the time.

And where did your song peak on the charts?lalumia said:yeah, but it's dropping at Z quickly, and barely dented Mediabase nationally, squeaked into the thirties(38,39) for about two weeks, and was gone from the top 40,not nearly what people thought was the beginning of a 'movement'; now it'll disappear and September gets a turn
