Lujack to Hit Parade Radio

This sounds better than anything (MOR) you can hear on Sirius/XM radio since the merger Nov. 12 2008! The link is above in another post. Hit Parade is mood radio for sure you have to be in the mood to listen, which I seem to have been for the last two hours. Or is the music mix just that good?

I would disagree here. I prefer to zero in on my music era. You can't beat Sirius/XM's Decades channels for that.

Does anyone know how this station will be carried? In other words in order to hear it do you have to hope
that a station in your area carries it or will there be another delivery system?

I've been checking the station out from time to time and I'm hearing way too much '70's soft rock back to back. They need to mix it up a little better.

Are you listening to the demo from the website?

i heard the demo,it said it was ole' uncle lair, but he didn't sound right. i thought he sounded a little rough also..age and cigarettes most likely..how old is he now..mid 60's ?

Couple more comments. First, I've heard several re-recordings of big hits that should be easily available in their original recordings. Among the ones I've noticed are Those Were The Dayse by Mary Hopkins, Theme from a Summer Place by Percy Faith, Kisses Sweeter Than Wine by Jimmy Rogers, and Gonna Fly Now (Theme From Rocky) by Bill Conti. There may be others, but I haven't been listening constantly. Second, the stream rate is a strange 112kbps/32khz. It says stereo, but they don't appear to be sending any stereo information at this point as everything has been mono. In response to an earlier post, there are no live dj's at this point. All I've heard are a few prrecorded promos and intros from Larry Lujack and Wink Martindale.

ole Uncle Lar is in his late 60s now.
We'll probably have to wait until fall when the DJs are on live to see how the format settles.

I keep hitting "Listen Now" and keep getting a broken link message. I give up.

on the other hand, Dick Biondi is in his mid to late 70's- looks older than that! , BUT sounds like just like he did in 1960 every night on WLS-FM. amazing!

Mr. Biondi still has the energy of a 30 year old.

WLS = We Love Superjock
WCFL = We Care for Lar
WRLL = We Rock Larry Lujack

. . . ., anyway his b/day is June 6, 1940.

What about KJR, the Seattle station that Lujack worked at before he came to Chicago?
