OK gang, time to get some sort of tally on who plans to make the radio reunion lunch on Saturday, 3/15 from 12-3 at Cap's.

I just left there after having lunch with a couple of radio friends, and I understand that Scoot is planning on attending this one. We expect Kim Stevens too.

Then there are:

Don Banks
Blair
Bob Robin
Weerd Wayne
Me

The rest of you who plan to be there, or if you know someone who plans to be there, please sign in now. In radio, out of radio, never been in radio, y'all come!

Thankyew!

Bob, when ya say "Scoot," I don't know if ya mean Scott Paisant, who aired as "Scoot," or The Moi Dude, who aired as "Scott" as an upgrade from my top-40-daze "Scooter" until Cap gave me the ultimately rememberable "Soxless." Whichever...my aging, retired Razorback booty plans to boogie on da Nort' Shore withchall crazies. Understand Bob Robin may also be there. Any chance of getting his Bama podjo, Don McGregor, to also be among the mongstilious?

Soxless Scott Segraves...it will be a pleasant surprise to have you visit our lunch. The gang will be looking forward to seeing you. We gon'h feel like we're back at the Court Jester. Wish we could get Skinny down here for it.

Bo Walker is coming too.

Bob Robin has already said yes too. I'll ask him about Don McGregor and see if we can find which old folks home he's in.

Scoot Paizant is the one who's supposed to be there too.

Don't forget while you're in town for the reunion lunch, the next day is the drunken debauchery of the Metairie St. Patrick Parade where you get to kiss the gals in the parade marching groups with the low cut costumes!

So far:

Scoot Paizant
Kim Stevens
Soxless Scott Segraves
Don Banks
Blair
Bob Robin
Weerd Wayne
Bo Walker
Bob Walker
and your congenial host Captain Humble

Oh yeah! Just got confirmations from Kim "Toad" Stephens and Dolph Federico (worked with us at 'RNO, owner of 'da wonderful Pelican USA graphics in beautiful downtown Kenna)...

And Buddy Burch...Buddy wants to know if anyone knows how to get in touch with Tippy or Petie (Kenny's Tipton and Petrie)...and where's Harold Mann and Sam????? Can someone pass the word to Ho-Z?

I'll be there! And I may bring a friend who'd LOVE to meet you guys!

Thanks,
Jeremy

Welcome aboard Jeremy, and definitely bring your friend. This one is shaping up as a radio all-star show!

Seems I heard someone was going to bring legendary WEA promotion man Walter Moorehead too.

So far:
Scoot Paizant

Soxless Scott Segraves
Don Banks
Blair
Bob Robin
Weerd Wayne
Bo Walker
Bob Walker
Buddy Burch
Dolph Federico
Jeremy & Friend
and your congenial host Captain Humble

Someone in another thread referred to these lunches as "a gathering of old men".

That may be true, but let me go on record right now as stating that I've learned a lot more from a few "old men" than I have dozens of "young pharts".

By all means, Beth...we would expect hopefully to have Mike McCann again and others from those 'QUE days who can ID those pics for you while everyone has delicious poboys from Cap's kitchen. Hope you mark 3/15 on your calendar.

Ok! The only thing stopping me would be freak weather delaying flights. I'll just be coming back from Virginia. FYI Henry is the friend I'm going to have with me. Can't wait to try one of these delicious sounding poboys. I may have to post pics on our food forum.

Not freakin' DOLPH! I woke up and had to read about F*#@in DOLPH. I thought people wanted to enjoy Cap's grub not hurl it. Why not just invite the beachball with arms & a massive ego..Who could that possibly be?....that ain't you Banks. And great to see Kim Stephens. He had the greatest quote at TIX-AM..."the 3 things you can never compromise....your whopper, your P-O-P ticket and your bus token...George Culotta for Let's F*#@k 'em Over". All said not knowing, Joe Culotta was stand in the doorway of the studio, hearing it all.

Soxless but not DOLPH!

What did you call me?

Oh. Never mind.

Hey Blair, Hurling the food might actually do your figure some good. In fact you should make it a practice. See you at Cap's.

Hey BayouBlue= = Lunch at Cap's 3/15 - Check In Now

I worked at KXOR for her immenseness JMC III in 1986-87. She brought me up to Metry with a full time gig at 'RNO from '87-'91. Worked through the Worldwide, filled in FM and dicked around with Ho-z in the engineering. Then to the short lived Zephyr for a year, overnights at 'CKW for a year, then 4 years at the Muniz empire, back and forth in every conceivable shit job in radio. Then I realized that Radio was a very cut throat business with no loyalties and the only people that ever make money are the owners ($29.5 mil Edmund) or the guys that gypsied from market to market. Soooo that should answer your question.
