Cherie Your Oldies Sweetheart has been added to the list of upcoming attendees. Thanks for ropin' her in, Blair. Quite a lengthy list of radio names gonna be at Cap's this Saturday 8/11 at noon. Everyone is invited. This final get-together is gonna be fun for all, in radio, ever been in radio, or not !

CC Courtney says he wishes he could be there, but we'll all be in his thoughts and dreams from Mallorca, Spain. We'll have a few cold ones and poboys for you, CC.

Apparently now we have a definite from Jim White and a tentative from Sambo Roberts. The old 'RNO is going to be well represented but the legendary TIX will come in strong too!

But what the hell...we'll talk and laugh and "dig the graves" of certain individuals we've worked with who nobody still likes to this day. Lotsa ears will be burning Saturday as we munch dem Cap poboy sammiches.

Oldie King, count me among the many who only wish they could attend. I'll be in town for a gig towards the end of October; perhaps another get-together could be arranged then?

Let me take this opportunity to say it was awesome working with all of you at WTKL and WWL. I was just getting my career started and y'all taught me A LOT about radio in general and New Orleans music in particular. Hell, I had never even heard of Irma Thomas the first time I set foot in the old Kool studios by the Causeway. Or K-Doe. Or Lee Dorsey. Or Earl King!!! Yeah, I was fresh off the boat, all right.

Please give my best to Cherie and my worst to Blair! ;)

My best to your gathering, hope all goes merry and well!

I grew up on the MS Gulf Coast and certian stations from NOLA played a influence in my desire to work in radio. While not currently employed in the field I hope to return to it someday.

If I were not many miles away, I would gladly except the invite to meet and listen to you and this round table assembly of area radio legends!
