I wonder if the Mark Madden contract fell through at the X? I was looking on the X's website and there is no mention of Mark Madden at all.
I e mailed Mr. Smizik about Mark Madden. He said he should be on the X any day now. They are working out some minor details in the contract

I thought the same thing. Not being a radio 'insider', just a listener, is the X owned by the same folks as 104.7??
I listened to about half of today's premier, and was pleased w/what I heard. He wasn't the jerk-off, pissed-off, clown-boy he'd become near the end of his 1250 tenure, but was actually semi-nice and even semi-funny (toward the end at ESPN, he didn't seem at all happy, often saying "what am I doing here", and just seemed generally disgusted to even be on-air). Wonder if they'll give him a sidekick like Colony to play off? He's sure not up on current music, though, calling an artist wrong {I think he said "that was 'The Stone Temple Pilots!(STP)}. He's stuck in the '80s; UFOs his fav. band.
Was nice to finally have a reason to tune in to the wasteland we now call radio.
