Actually what is Radio-One thinking? Magic 98.9 was doing very good in the ratings and 106.3 has a horrible signal. I'm actually surprised by this.
I'm kinda shocked myself... 98.9 has been doing very well at 98.9 compaired to even Power 107.5.. heck Magic at 98.9's AQH is 6.4 that's WAY ABOVE WCKX's... WHY move such a performing signal to the rimshot at 106.3 (I see the point in dumping joy's low rated format) .. just don't see why move such a successful format to such a weak signal...
MY GUESS... Radio One feels threatened by both WNCI and the new format at WLZT (though I consider 93.3 more "oldies" than "Classic Hits"...) so putting a Classic Hits format on 98.9 might be their attempt to throw a few rocks at Clear Channel? Look at the damage WNCI has done to WCKX over the years in ratings... exp after PPMs arrived.
