I have listeneed to Mancow pretty regularly and the last month or so it is like they are constantly replaying shows OVER and OVER....... anyone know why this is? I thought he was live in the mornings. Also, a week ago they had on Dave Ramsey??? No wonder people don't listen.

Nu Roo is right about the water boarding. Now that I think back, that is when all this rerun stuff started.
They're not reruns - they're all new shows. It just sounds the same because he just keeps saying the same tired BS over and over again.

Well the licensed holder of WCRS hand me an letter from Arbitron last week Steering Committee stating that we are now at 0.5 to 1% of Columbus Ohio radio listeners. Compare to WTDA free fall in the ratings plus beating out WBNS AM and WVKO AM. Remember our Biggest name on the station is Amy Goodman. When we had our April 10 promotion with Amy Goodman 200 people was able to come out for the noon time event. That is lot more people come out when Ed Schultz was here last year.
Sorry, I find that very hard to believe...even as anemic as WTDA is in the commercial talk radio market.
And both of the WCRS signals...well, last time I drove down there, their signals were quite weak even in areas you'd expect would be a stronghold for such an operation. There's just not a good enough signal to produce any significant rating.
Listener response? I can see that. Those who listen to stations like WCRS are activist, passionate listeners. Those 200 people may be the entire listenership base, though.

I look at the Arbitron info that the owners of WCRS Simply Living gave me it says that we are placing in the non comm radio ratings. We are streaming as well.
Radio ratings are measure in 15 minutes blocks. You should know this. You talk a good game but you don't know how radio really works.

Mancow's show probably has at least one thousand listeners at any one time in the Columbus area.
After the release of the next Arbitron book, quote the numbers for both WCRS-LP and WTDA.
Yes, I support Low Power FM radio in Columbus and YES WCRS-LP is doing pretty good programing wise but you are comparing apples and oranges.

Just as a side note, WSWO-LP showed in the Dayton area winter book. They were very surprised, as no one there expected to ever show up given the small percentage of the metro that actually gets the signal. Could have been lucky book distribution. However, their programming is more mass appeal than WCRS.
I don't see WCRS in the public RRC numbers for non-comms, but the last book posted was winter and they won't show if they did not buy the book.

I have admitted more than once that I am not an expert on the slicing and dicing of radio ratings. On the blog, I almost never run through ratings topics, and analyzing 12-plus publicly-available ratings basically means nothing in the ratings game. There's a reason Arbitron allows those numbers to be used for free.
Would you care to provide more actual facts other than "we are placing in the non-comm ratings"? Hey, good for WCRS that it has listeners...but making claims that you're doing better than a full-power (well...) commercial outlet, as anemic as it is compared to a WTVN, is akin to claiming that you're going to broadcast from the Moon next week.
