March 2010 Ratings

WBUR is still wiping the floor with WGBH. No surprise there, I suppose. Even WCRB is doing better than 'GBH. [Also, WCRB is still listed as being owned by Nassau. Oops!]

WGBH's numbers have gone up substantially.

I don't recall the dates of WBUR's recent fund drive; did it fall in March? Or April?

With two news-formatted public stations in town, I suspect we'll see each station's numbers rise temporarily during the other's fundraising period.

Substantially? Are we talking about the same place?

Latest ratings have them in...TWENTY-SEVENTH place...with a ZERO-point-Seven (0.7).

I think they did (slightly) better with the old format. (Not to mention a lower budget.)

Not that I'm ragging on them, it's still very early, esp if theya re committed to this change. But, what ratings have you seen?

Don't know where you get your ratings from, but Arbitron has them in 20th place with a 1.5 share (6+, March monthly). In the February monthly they were in 21st place with a 1.2. In January they were tied for 21st with a 1.0.

I get me info (as I stated above) from the latest ratings, which is the first week of April.

27th place.....0.7 25-54

Dennis and Callahan were thanking people for being number 1 in CT and RI this morning. Are the April ratings out?

I am still wondering where the data is to back up the "substantially" comment.

This weeks ratings have WGBH-FM in 31st place....with a 0.9.
