Before I even read the entire thing, how did I know WiLD's strongest part of the day would be evenings? All I saw was:

"1. V-103 (mornings strongest daypart)"

And from that point on, I was able to realize that whatever followed would most likely be measured in dayparts. Almost immediately, I subconsciously thought "I bet WiLD will be evenings"...

SURE ENOUGH, THEY WERE!

I don't think I am a radio rocket scientist, but I do have a question:
What are people thinking keeping Elvis Duran on in the morning? Is the point here that "maybe eventually, people will get hooked on it and it might become more successful in the long run"? I mean, I personally don't think it's bad, but apparently it is not helping the station greatly at the moment. I don't know why I get the feeling that in WiLD's case, a simple, but still entertaining morning show that consists of (focusing on) more music mornings would probably be better. I strongly believe that there are a few minor details and things that WWVA could change to do better, on-air schedule set-up wise. Evenings and weekends already seem pretty on point for WWVA, but (outside of the music) there are other things they could consider to attract more people and "make" them want to stick around longer.

There are some things I just don't understand sometimes... and one of them is; Why, when people know that something is obviously or possibly hindering them from being at their full potential best, do they choose not to change something until LATER? I'm no expert when it comes to finances and things of that sort in radio, so I wonder; Is syndicating that morning show cheaper than having an "easy going" but entertaining local morning show guy with a focus mainly on more music mornings?

Just some thoughts roaming around in my head. I know they're two different companies, but ClearChannel could learn a few things from KZON's day time set up schedule structure that they could implement into WWVA (around the areas that they are already their strongest). If the morning show IS costing more, BUT isn't helping them forward or isn't doing better than the music itself, then (IMO) stop the syndication... at least for now.

I think most Rhythmics have their strongest ratings in the evenings, cause that's when most kids listen

No radio station or group is happy when nights is their strongest daypart. Means you're failing in other dayparts. Winning nights (only) means you're losing.
