WLW's signal can be heard in part or all of 38 states at night.
I've heard it in Clearwater, Florida on a clear night. That's the advantage of a 50 KW AM signal on a relatively clear channel. Not many AM stations have the advantage that WLW has by only have a couple of other stations on the same frequency.
Imagine what the signal was like in the 1930's when they had 500,000 watts....
