I was surprised to see Me-TV (or rather Me-Too) take off "Leave It To Beaver," as it's been around on that channel a long time. And Me-Too often duplicates a lot of Antenna TV's shows anyway, at least in Chicago. I'll be glad when it's back. LTB is one of the few shows, I can watch over and over, without getting sick of it.
Even the non regular characters had classic lines:
"Oh Miss Landers, the Beaver was talking, I told him the bell had rung and just because you weren't in the room yet, doesn't mean he could talk." (Judy)
"Gee, your kitchen always looks so clean, my mother says it looks as though you never do any work in here" (Eddie)
"Have to keep a firm hand on boys nowadays, Ward. My Clarence answered me back the other day. I smacked him right in the mouth. None of this psychology for me." (Fred)
"Things would be all right if my daughter could just find a husband. Then we'd always have a man around to give it to Larry when his father's out of town." (Mrs Mondello)
. Again, not retro, but it looks like Media General knew that the writing was on the wall for RTV.
