back when don partrage ran it, he branded every ones
brain as it being "the hottest hits" ...
Uhhhh, not quite correct. Q101 became Q101 on June 6, 1979. It flipped from WDAL-FM, an automated easy-listening format called "The Entertainers." I know, I was there. B&P owned the station at the time and Don Partridge was co-owner and GM. There was no "Q101" before June 6, 1979. The original lineup consisted of me doing mornings, Bill Loggins in middays, puking Brock Boulette in PM drive, John something from 7-Mid and still-in-high-school Jack Watkins doing overnights. Maureen Christian did news. It was a wild ride.
