The community of license will move from West Palm Beach to Miramar and will drop from a Class C to a Class C1 with 100 kW at 283 meters from a tower off of Hallandale Beach Blvd. currently serving as an auxiliary antenna for the 5 Clear Channel FM stations in the market.
104.3 is currently airing a Smooth AC format as WMSF-FM - likely temporary until sold off by Palm Beach Broadcasting.

They were just looking for a city with no radio service that fit nicely into the technical and licensing requirements of a station move.

How soon we forget.....before it was WPOW Power 96, it was WCJX licensed to Miramar! (Cannot recall if it was on 96.3 or 96.5)

Close Nocturnalstate, but no cigar. In reality, we signed WCJX on at 96.3 in June 1985. It was in the first quarter of 1986, I believe late January that we changed the frequency to 96.5. 96X did not become Power 96 until August 1986. By that time we had already been settled in at 96.5 for months.

Is, "Your new station will have a stick value of $50 million, and we are only asking for $40 million to slide over a channel" a legitimate request?
