Of course, I should also add that he is the only show in town, and has no real competition in Weakley County! ::)

Yeah, he is VERY local...so I guess that helps with advertising...networking and such. He does have some competition from WENK in Union City for ad dollars as their signals cross as well as WTPR in Paris.

Thunderbolt is trying to give Hailey a run for his money by taking over KYTN and the Cool Duck in Obion County. Seems like the WENK stations and the Thunderbolt properties are all going after the Union City/Martin/Fulton "golden triangle." Meanwhile, WCDZ is going after the Dresden/McKenzie/Paris triangle. I don't know if that is the case now, but that is what Tinkle told us at the time they came on the air in 1991, and no, he didn't own them yet! If 95.1 is in fact going after that second triangle, then they could be going after the WTPR stations in that neighborhood. But Hailey doesn't actually have any holdings in Weakley County. But he has Tinkle sandwiched in-between his Obion-Henry County holdings. That may be why Paul branched out into Union City.

FUN is right about the Gibson County properties. I don't know why Paul ever had those, or what his intentions were for them. I'm not certain, but that Milan station may have been Bill Haney's (Atwood) station at one time.

10-4!! The Milan FM was started up by mr Bill.

I had heard that Thunderbolt is buying WAY-FM's translator on 91.5 in Union City. Are they going to use that to retransmit 1410? I know they also bought WAY-FM's translator that was planned for Martin for that purpose.
