Did you ever hear the XXX version of "Think Twice" by Jackie Wilson & LaVerne Baker?

never heard that duet by wilson and baker......

platters(with sonny turner) - washed ashore
platters(with sonny turner) - harbor lights
jackie moore - make me feel like a woman

Sonny Turner still touring with an alternate, group to Herb Reeds Platters, since he was on their 1966 Lp, which charted several hits he qualifies, as a legitimate Platters group. Ironically Herb Reed along with Bauser of Sha,na, na ....were instrumental(no pun intended) in cleaning up the bogus gruop tours.

just a head's up;
the newly released 2 cd set "Magnificent", featuring the 3 albums recorded by the (Jean Terrell)Supremes and The 4 Tops lives up to it's name,and includes about 10 never before released tracks;
Levi Stubbs is constantly incredible, and Jean is Supreme!...great stuff for 70s soul freaks like me...(it's not in the stores, it's a Hip-O limited edition release)

Thanks for the heads up. Levi Stubbs was one of a kind.

Ahh you've heard it.

I have, and it is undoubtedly absolutely hysterical. A "dirty" version of Tramp, by Otis Redding and Carla Thomas, but it's Jackie Wilson and Laverne Baker. Same thing.

Yeah I went back and listened to it last week. Still cracks me up.

"Love Bug" was my favorite single back then(67?springtime?) and I also loved Martha's "I Can't Dance To That Music You're Playin"..
as well as the marvelous Marvelettes magnificent "When You're Young And In Love"...

All good ones!

Okay, I have to do this...well...because it's tickling me, and I have to do it:

Kiss and Say Goodbye - The Manhattans
Torn Between Two Lovers - Mary MacGregor

Now, would that not be a classic conversation in one of those greasy spoons somewhere? Two con artists working each other. Couldn't help myself on that one. I know, I know, Mary MacGregor was a British artist, not a soul singer. ROFL
