Mike FM's Manny

I have to side with Chuck on this one. I have never found Tom Doyle's songs "awful". The only issue I ever have is the forced laugh track. I know when to laugh. This however, has been the way it is for years.

I thought the Manny song on MikeFM was funny. Nothing wrong with some shameless self promotion.

Just my $.02

They did the same thing with the Pats during the Superbowl run last season. It's being local and topical...what's wrong with that?

Have to give them credit for being local and topical. But is it fresh or unique? Absolutely not. There are other non-Sox related topics for local parodies, just ask Tom Doyle... oh yeah.

Wow, that was pretty awful, like on the level of Tom Doyle-awful.

Tom's Townie Tunes are extremely cheesey... but for the kind of show that's being done, he can't really push the envelope any more (from personal experience, I'm sure if he could he would). To me at least, they're much better than the parodies that were done in the past on WODS (nothing against the Breakfast Club's former-Tom Doyle equivalent, whose name escapes me).

New York sports station ESPN 1050 has used the song for Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte.

Yawn...
