Mike Taylor just might be the most....

I heard taylor doing his show from Fort Worth...what's up with that???

Either more self promotion or some lacky paid to create a 'media frenzy'? I love it when MT's promos are mixed with and drowned out by Jim Rome's intros. You can't hear anything but mumbling and those drums. Still, no one asks why anyone from a "major market" would come down to our "small market", world class podunk and claim it as a 'promotion'. People LEAVE here in order to SUCEED, while others are banished to our quiet little backwater tourist trap to fade away into obscurity. Besides, our wages a way lower here than almost anywhere, other than China.

I thought CC was trying to avoid contracts altogether? I wouldn't think a host on their sports station was "contract-worthy," for a lack of better words.

Maybe CC signed a contract because they could be filing for bankruptcy on Monday? I heard it more than once on the radio last Friday that a major radio network, with big national talent, was filing for bankruptcy protection on Monday. Could it be CC? What happens to contracts during bankruptcy proceedings? Are they rendered null and void, or are they modified? Will it be like other corporate bankruptcies, where, if you don't like the new and improved offer, you're introduced to the door thats going to slam on your skinny beehind as you're shoved through it? Hmmmm.

Speaking of contracts I wonder if Rush Limbaugh is holding Premiere to the $400-million multi-year deal he signed right before the economy tanked. How many local people have had to be laid off as a resullt?

Doesn't Rush's show generate enough advertising revunue irregardless of the economy...?

According to Jeanne Jakle's column today, Mike Taylor made a lot of listeners angry when he informed them on-air last Friday that he hoped Michael Jackson would "burn in hell."

Radio pundits love to make their mark, and spewing anger and vitriol is one way to get some craved attention.

However, local sports talk host Mike Taylor may have gone way over the line of decency and taste when he laid into Michael Jackson on the very afternoon the pop icon died.

Most likely he just jumped on the bandwagon in order to get free publicity and/or an attempt to boost ratings. Remember, we cannot criticize or reveal ugly truths about the idols that the free thinking liberal morons worship. Everyone can offend you, but you cannot offend anyone.

Thats good RADIO... Mike Taylor really is big time. Glad he's in this Market. We deserve a top notch drive time personality...

This afternoon, I thought I heard the tail end of a radio promo inviting the public to some club for a "farewell party" for Mike Taylor. Is it true? Is Mr Bigtime refugee from Big Market leaving our wanabe world class, not-so-big market? Maybe Mr Bigtime is taking his Big Market talent to a bigger market, like Floresville, Poteet or Poth? Is he the first casualty of the bankruptcy sale at CC? What about that morning show with Andy, why are they both on vacation at the same time, with syndicated Satfeed in their place? At one of my previous jobs, people were usually fired the day they returned from vacation. Did CC learn that trick from BOA? Whose next?
