Missing stations

Apparently, Lopez flipped it to Spanish Christian Radio Vida.

Not sure if the flip has taken place yet, but they're not announcing the new station hourly for legal ID like they are most of their others.
I say "most" because a couple months ago Radio Vida started on KNIU-LP 97.7 in Kansas City... They didn't mention KNIU-LP either. They did however mention KPAD-LP, which lost their license for not filing a renewal recently. Also they got KPAD-LP's frequency wrong LOL when was the last time they updated their hourly ID? This probably isn't even a big deal if they miss some stations. Other broadcasters do far worse.

880 is now playing Secular Vallenato music, no name, no ID.
For the eleven Colombians in Houston who are also fans of canto vallenato?

Vallenato does very well in Monterrey Mexico..
Fake vallenato done in Monterrey. Not Calixto Ochoa or Alfredo Gutierrez or Alejo Duran (who I saw win at the first festival in Valledupar in 1968) or the like. Similarly, Mexico adopted the Colombian cumbia back in the 60's with groups like the Santanera and ran with it on their own. But none of those artists ever have hits in Colombia itself.

I don’t see how anyone could do that, as you would have to get FCC approval for any sale, then the new owner would have to obtain a site and apply for a CP, then actually acquire equipment and get it on the air. Probably not doable in only 11 weeks. Estrella is likely not going to spend a single penny to keep KEYH alive.

KJOJ probably has some modest value, any word on that from Estrella?
Does anyone have pictures or memories to share about KEYH when it was the Key of Houston?

7. Bought a junk stations that had way more issues than expected..

Fcc doesn’t get involved in civil matters from what I understood once the license was transferred your crap out of luck .. so let’s see best of luck to you but I asked a few attorneys and they all seem to agree that the deal is done
My FCC attorney disagrees with you.

You think they're gonna do anything if they can't do anything about the allegedly overpowering Houston translator(s)?

  • Haha
Reactions: HTX
Chris things the FCC cares that he made a bad business deal … Urban one made a letter complaining to the fcc that they were using a non existing HD to broadcast the Houston translators and 3 years later nothing ..

Has anyone heard Power ID as KTWL and KKBQ HD3? Kind of strange considering KTWL has never been Power and the HD is inactive.

Went To The Kemah Board walk and was picking up Power 105.3 and La Caliente 104.5.

Drove south on Highway 146 toward Galveston and Power105.3 lost signal but LA CALIENTE 104.5 was still listenable a little longer. LA NUEVA 94.1 was listenable till almost TIKI ISLAND.
