Mix 107.7 moving away from the 80s?

On Christmas music...even certain retail supercenters have even started sneaking in a few Christmas tunes an hour. IMHO Christmas music should be played from Black Friday to Christmas Day and not a moment sooner. Playing "Jingle Bell Rock" three times an hour won't help sales that much, especially in this crappy economy.
I am betting 107.7 goes Adult CHR at the beginning of the year. I've noticed a lot more newer and hipper music playing on the station as of late...of course, they still play some worn out tunes like "Jessie's Girl" which hopefully with 2010 on the horizon will fade into the past and stay there. Good to hear some 90s classics like BNL's "The Old Apartment", Republica's "Ready To Go" and Lit's "My Own Worst Enemy" replacing some of the stale 80s tunes. I agree that Mix does play some recurrents to death(Theory of a Deadman's "Not Meant To Be" and Pink's "Sober" being two of them).

Q102, Rewind, Warm 98 and B105 all have website Christmas Streams online in cincinnati

I frankly thought all four Bonneville stations would. Not surprised about Warm 98, either. Expect them to go full-tilt Christmas in the next 7-10 days.

I'd assume after Thanksgiving.

Btw, Mix played Gaga's Paparazzi back to back with Already Gone by Kelly today.... VERY glad to see that.

That is the usual date, you're right. Thanksgiving night maybe, but for sure Black Friday...

And boom... WRRM's music offerings flipped sides (I don't know when, I think it was earlier this week)...with Warm's usual, non-Christmas mix of music online and the Christmas tunes now full tilt on the station's terrestrial signal. This is as of my current listening at 2:45 AM...

I think they did the flip flop wednesday morning in time for morning drive because i was listening online wednesday morning and they were playing Christmas then on the regular Warm Stream

It seems like they only do that on Holiday weekends and that's it.
I believe it's just a feature for extended holidays because you don't hear it any other time.

During their normal format, you don't hear much 80s your right. The Time Warp Cafe still has the 80s.

Yeah, the Time Warp Cafe does still play the 80s. They also play one measley 90s tune every day as well. It's also not as fun since Jeff Stevens no longer hosts it.
The "80 hours of 80s" is only used on holiday weekends you're right. Now what would really be cool is if they played 80 hours of AT40 the 80s. That would be fun.
