Mix 92.3 it goes, it's gone BUH BYE!

But smashed, so does the Ginty programmed rock 93.7.. However you have a market with two classic rockers , you are trying to court a younger generation that isn't into this kind of music possibly or at least be different than the other two down the street.

I don't expect him to run any classics as much as I think he will have to turn it more active rock minus the classics in this market to win the market over IMO

RFLA I personally prefer an active rock station. Yea there are 2 classic rockers but its not exactly rockin stations! If they cant play Iron Maiden then why are they playing guns and roses? Nobody in new orleans plays Iron maiden...

Cause Iron Maiden was considered heavy metal but Gun and Roses was considered mainstream plain and simple.

I don't expect rock 92.3 to play it just due to the fact of the demos (which would be the go for a mid 20s to 30s target would be my guess)... As I know Genty used to do a hair metal special on WRNO and think he still does one for rock 93.7 if I remember, but that's the only time I hear Iron maiden on radio personally. I did a search on iron maiden on yes and came up with some classic rockers that seem to go harder and deeper on their classics than most stations around here or do it as part of classic hard rock shows.

Around here I find they stay mainstream and even though have added hair metal, tend to stay away from the harder heavy material of the day for some reason.

Whats up with the crappy sounding audio files they are using. So many songs such as 'Muse - Uprising' sound like they are 64kbps mp3 rips, whoever is ripping them into the playout system needs to listen to their work. Even some of the imaging elements have this crappy sound.

They dont care...103.3 has been soundling like that for 3 months..

I had hoped by now this station would be getting into its groove, but it still sounds like it did at launch. I swear everytime i flip over to 92.3 they are playing Muse - Uprising (or Coldplay- Viva La Vida). Based on my rough math 'Uprising' is played 6 times a day or 42 spins a week on a song off the currents chart. DO they even scope what other alt rockers are playing?

Fieldtech, I'd expected them to take something at least from the KRDJ playbook as I was listening to 93.7 today and people were stating how much the 93.7 sounded better and polished. I think who ever decided to program up the computer needs to get lessons from somewheres pronto... add the alt rock in place of the classics and then you'd have a rocker if you even just ripped the KRDJ playlist blatently...

Sorry, was for this station, but before it goes live and local, it needs a MAJOR REDO or you will see why people will leave in droves back to straining to hear the other rockers thru the noise..Or have the tropo gods be nice and hear it great on mornings
