A moot point, now that all four series' were two-game sweeps. Disney is out of the baseball business until next spring. TBS and Fox/FS1 take over for the next two rounds.Correction on my previous post about ABC and ESPN. A single series decider would have been on ESPN. A second one, on ABC. I had it the other way around, even after hearing the arrangement explained on one of yesterday's telecasts.

Team trying to move on from its star QB vs. the most hyped team of the 2023 season? Divisional matchup as well? Much more attractive than Bears-Commanders, given the current state of both teams, no question. You think Detroit at Green Bay was better? It was last Thursday's top rated show.
is there any passion for the local teams in Florida other than winning football teams? He's most likely correct. Very few people showed up for the last 2 playoff games this week. Not much passion for the franchise there...
they might care in Birmingham (AL) where even second and third tier bowl games not featuring any area teams get good ratingsESPN, though, should be in its accustomed 0.5 to 1.0 range with its Who Cares Conference college game.
Yankees and Red Sox fans in the area are probably more passionate than Rays fansI agree 3 pm on a weekday on about 2 days notice is a tough one. But same time and same short notice many other team’s ballparks would have been much more crowded.
No different than Cubs, Dodgers, and Giants fans in Phoenix.Yankees and Red Sox fans in the area are probably more passionate than Rays fans
They may care if they took Washington.Gamblers and fantasy players don't care about the quality of the game, just getting value out of it.
Your point is?They may care if they took Washington.
The game was better than I expected. I actually stayed through the whole thing.Your point is?
Mine was that they care about all games they have money on, whatever side they took in their betting. Those who took Washington and the points, and the "over" bettors, probably stopped caring about the game at halftime, but they all cared until then.
I meant to say the "under" bettors stopped caring, BTW. As for me, I had no money on the game (sports betting still not available here in VT, and I'm not sure I'll be doing much of it when it arrives next year) and couldn't watch it live because I don't have an Amazon Prime membership, but I watched the first half on the NFL Network replay at midnight and gave up on it early. The game was better than I expected. I actually stayed through the whole thing.
I think most eyes will be on Thursday Night Football, as they were last week.
The problem is the owner shot off his mouth about the Montreal/TB idea before getting anything set in stone, especially with TB officials. That won't fix the problem.
