That opens a whole huge can of worms and id like to see how this would play out in a court of law...

Could you imagine the CBS-11 investigation of a major employer in the D-FW area with multiple companies under its umbrella who cut somebody the Friday before she returned from maternity leave? I can already hear the scary music and hear Bennett Cunningham's voice, "She gave the best years of her life to XYZ company; now they cut her loose. It's a bad economy, but was it legal? Tonight on CBS-11 News at 10, in HD...."But, I guess if you're a media company you can do what you want to because absent a few blogs and this message board, there are darn few people to call you on the carpet publicly.

But to anyone thinking of hiring Carla Marion, I have to say, she would be a good hire. Not only is she a talented air personality, she is also a good writer, and functioned quite effectively as afternoon editor.
And, on top of that, she has a positive personality and a good sense of humor.
I'd hire her.
Radio is a business just like any other. CBS is doing what it needs to in this tough economic time.houston2882 said:CBS has the bean counter working overtime to balance budgets. $crew the ratings or listeners wants. Count the beans
