Yes, he did. Daune Robinson and Dawn Fulmer, a promotions asst., too.
They're dumping everything at Mix (minus, maybe, Brian and Joe) in order to sell it off...
Wow!

Sucks about Scott and Daune, both I consider friends. Especially D., my Goodtime III drinkin' buddy!
WILL WMVX/MIX 106-5, Where the "V" stands for Variety (LOL!), get spun off??? OR... Will CC spin off WAKS/Akron and put CHR on 106.5??
Kiss to 106.5 makes sense.
Both scenarios make a ton of sense. But unless Brian & Joe get taken care of (remember, they did move to WMVX from WMMS/100.7 during the infamous "Death of the Buzzard" that was supposed to happen, but never did), that remains a big hole in the theory. If 106.5 assumed WAKS, I highly doubt that they could mesh in that well with their current show (obviously replacing the VT'ed Sean Valentine) but I could be wrong.
However, and this is just MY personal opinion, I still see B & J as a credible successor to Lanigan at WMJI, whenever he retires. Different tastes, yes. But it would keep WMJI from a total free-fall/death spiral should that ever happen. Which I do doubt as CC will likely keep Lanigan for however long he wants to be there.
Or do B & J just walk out the door after all this?
Boil it down to this: WMVX is the lowest point of the CC chain. It's gonna get even lower now that their on-air staff is getting decimated. It has had no program director (yeah, I know WMJI doesn't, either, but they can afford to be on autopilot while WMVX CAN'T) and the only recognizable air talent outside of B & J thanks to these cuts are Jay Hudson and Kat Jackson. And Kat's a regular VT'er on WMJI and WGAR!
