MORE IMUS

Lets look at the cases cited in the article.

Imus: Fired for calling a group of amateur athletes "ho's". Keyword: amateur leave civilians out of your public ridicule

Troy "star" Torain: Threatened sexual assault of a four year old, asked his listeners for help. Why would there even be a question as to whether this was a fireable offense?

WQHT "Tsunami Song" 300.000 killed, livelyhoods destroyed. What jackass would think this is funny?

Opie and Anthony/ StPatrick's 2002 : Poor judgement typically stupid fratboy prank. Probably not warranting dismissal but as Catholics themselves, they should have known of that organization and possible backlash. The station (WNEW) was itself mired in last place of all commercial FMs they should have seen their vulnerability.

All of these incidents show how far dumbed-down, insensitive and desperate radio has become.

Thank you Howard Stern.

God bless Don Imus, and all of theI'm a Christianparents and children to which he gave comfort with the Imus Brothers charities. I'm a Christian. I was taught it's been 2000 years since the last perfect man. That especially includes that obnoxious, fat, round mound of sound Al Sharpton and the other "Rev", Mr Jackson. They should actually practice some of what they preach.

The newspaper article raised a very interesting point. In the case of Imus, Bernie was paid to be, as the article mentioned, "edgy." yet he got fired for it.

We can second guess this thing to death so let's move on.

I personally believe that Imus will return in September and wouldn't be surprised if Sharpton is one of his first guests. As for McGuirk's return, that remains in doubt because I just don't see it in Bernie's nature not to speak his own mind.

Even if Imus returns how many former radio affiliates will come on board? More importantly will Imus also return to MSNBC, or will that so-called news (cough-cough) network instead stick with "Morning Joe?"

If Imus does return to the airwaves you can bet one person will be PO; Howard Stern.
