The newspaper article raised a very interesting point. In the case of Imus, Bernie was paid to be, as the article mentioned, "edgy." yet he got fired for it.
We can second guess this thing to death so let's move on.
I personally believe that Imus will return in September and wouldn't be surprised if Sharpton is one of his first guests. As for McGuirk's return, that remains in doubt because I just don't see it in Bernie's nature not to speak his own mind.
Even if Imus returns how many former radio affiliates will come on board? More importantly will Imus also return to MSNBC, or will that so-called news (cough-cough) network instead stick with "Morning Joe?"
If Imus does return to the airwaves you can bet one person will be PO; Howard Stern.
