More swapping in the future?

major....you are exactly the reason I said that stations like WCIN serve a purpose and should not be cast aside. I hope that stations like WCIN, WDJO, WMOH,...etc...can be profitable and stay on the air. But, again, they don't create much concern among the Top 15 stations. That's what I was saying.

When The BUZZ goes Gospel, I hope it can sustain its share of the market and maybe even grow it.

"Creating concern" with the top 15 is a semi accurate opinion. There is no pissin contest that any of the smaller stations you mention could win, but if you say NO impact, you are incorrect. This is why some stations that you mention are targeted by the half hearted attempts of the bigger boys to get what little revenues these stations make. I have no idea where you work, but I see it, breathe it, and live it, so at least take that into account when you give your view. If you happen to have some experience in the area...then great...we simply disagree The Buzz will grow with gospel with almost a certainty.

Regardless of what I don't know, WCIN is what it is.

When does WDBZ flip to Gospel?

Today...but they wanted to do Monday.

Food for thought...How is something definitive regardless of what you don't know?

Al...You obviously don't have kids. They beg for Disney Channel on the radio. Some of the music they play is on the current CHR charts. It's not Barney and Friends. Sometimes I don't know if they're listening to Disney or KISS-FM.

And, most of the Radio Disney affiliates are monster AM signals. Look in Atlanta, New York, Cleveland, Dallas, etc... Some 50kw heritage signals and big 5kw'ers low on the dial. They're on FM in Indy.

I beg one's indulgence for a clairification: Radio Disney's Cleveland O&O, WWMK/1260, was never a monster AM signal.

In its' long-ago heyday as "WIXY 1260," the station did have boffo ratings that humiliated the competition and rewrote the record books. True. But that was completely IN SPITE of it's graveyard-channel, short-spaced, highly directional 5kW AM signal. Now it's far worse... AM/1260 has been a virtual non-factor in the ratings since the late 80s.

Now it totally misses the sprawling suburbs, which cancels out much of their potential audience. If there is one... I still have issues convincing myself that today's pre-teens would even be compelled to even think of listening to an AM station... ;)

Besides, if most kids want to hear Miley, the Jonas Bros., and all the other Disney Channel acts... wouldn't they want an mp3 player?
