Mormon Radio to be broadcast on "The Sound"

justpassingthough said:
Certainly the LDS church is free to express their viewpoint on their radio station, but I would urge anyone who is FOR marriage equality to boycott 'The Sound', since the LDS church was the largest single contributor to the "Yes on 8" campaign.

Like it matters, no one is listening anyway...

and outside of the cruel effects the mob boycott had on certain otherwise innocent establishments located in West Hollywood last fall, the repeated calls for boycotts on this issue are lame and ineffective.

The Sound may need to get some listeners, but you need to get a life. Take your radical politics back to the Huffington Post where they belong.

I wouldn't exactly say boycotting a radio station owned by the largest donor to a political campaign is a 'radical' idea. Boycotts were the most effective engine in bringing about actual social changes (desegerated buses, lunch counters, etc) during the Civil Rights era in the 1950s and 60s than any other pleas for change. If listeners boycotted, and wrote letters to advertisers asking them to follow suit, then this could make a large impact in the revenue of the station, and hit the LDS church where it hurts. Maybe then they would learn it is best to stay out of the matters of the state.

Oh, and thanks for the personal attack. It was a perfect illustration of your maturity.
