MSNBC gets a new name

In response to NBC News leaving MSNBC/MSNow due to the Versant spinoff, The Soon to be MS Now has an agreement to use Sky News as part of its news gathering services for Versant Media.
Versant Media is not to be confused with our local Electric Company here in Maine "Versant Power" which is actually owned by a Canadian Corporation,

OK then had no idea the Versant name
prior to the Comcast Spinoff was a utility company. But then again the rest of the nation only heard of this as the one getting CNBC and MSNow. Yes this also includes Comcast protecting Peacock app as part of the reason why Versant was formed.

Today, Versant launched it's own stock on NASDAQ:

i bet you money the first thing that happen when it went live is either Byron Allen, Nexstar or Sinclair Broadcasting bought shares up to try to be "majority minority shareholder" where they own the second most shares behind Comcast, i could see them being taken over by one of those companies, especially Allen & his Allen Media Group who owns former NBCUniversal property The Weather Channel. and Nexstar could by Versant out to boost up CW Sports and Newsnation. and gain more leverage for their local TV stations they own across the nation for future retransmission negotiations, same with Sinclair too, but these companies may already be facing money/debt issues too.

Woah I thought that already took place as soon as MS Now moved to their current offices. Had no idea that is happening months after the spinoff. We mentioned here about Versant moving their offices to Times Square when the spinoff was finalized. But NBC News using the old MSNow and CNBC offices at 30 Rock was expected.

NBC News Now has begun transitioning into the former primary studios of MSNBC at 30 Rockefeller Plaza following the cable news network’s recent spin-off from NBCUniversal and relocation to new facilities.

The move marks a significant shift in the layout of news operations within the historic Rockefeller Center complex. Studio 3A, long the centerpiece for MSNBC’s programming, along with adjacent spaces, will now serve as the primary production home for the streaming service. This consolidation allows NBC News Now to expand to 14 hours of live news a day in one of broadcasting’s most prestigious locations while MSNBC charts an independent course under its new ownership structure as part of Versant.

NBC News Now itself has a more recent but rapidly evolving history. The service launched in May 2019 as NBCUniversal’s dedicated streaming news platform, designed to deliver continuous live and on-demand coverage accessible across multiple devices and free ad-supported streaming television channels. Initially positioned as a complementary offering to traditional television news, NBC News Now quickly grew its audience by providing around-the-clock reporting on major national and international events. Operating from facilities within 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the streamer has produced original programming, special reports, and in-depth features, capitalizing on the resources of the broader NBC News team. The addition of the former MSNBC studios represents a major upgrade, enabling enhanced production values and the capacity for more ambitious live broadcasts.

Getting onto a streaming platform other than expensive cable-replacements like YouTube TV seems like it might be more important to improving audience numbers than just shuffling hosts around.

FBI Director Kash Patel's girlfriend has filed a lawsuit against MS-Now and two of it's reporters. She said their reporting was false and defamatory:

She's a country singer who claims that the image if being around drunk people is bad for her career. Has she listened to country music lately? One of the main topics is getting drunk.

This lawsuit allows MS-NOW to do discovery into how much federal taxpayer money has been spent on Patel's girlfriend and their friends.
