Music Selection

They push a button on the touchscreen of the automation, and the music selections made by a programmer in some other city come up on the screen.

> How do the DJs know what songs to play during his/her shift?

And or the newest employee tells them what to play. His name is either Selector, NexGen, Prophet, Audiovault or something like that. Seriously on that note... has anyone ever noticed on the 97X website the overnight "air personality". His name is Mr. A. You gotta love a station that pretty much embraces that it's on autopilot during those hours and the computer gets a personality page. I wonder how many listeners think that's an actual human DJ?

> Reminds me of a story from way back. From 1970-1976 I was ops manager at WCCK-FM in Erie, PA. We took on a long time legendary AM, WJET. The all night show was automated with voice tracks done by a jock from another market. He was called "Big Al Night". Same tracks for the entire time I was in town. The owner of the station told me that Al Night never was sick, late, or asked for a raise. Never had to hotline him either.
