Musicradio WLS

The Dude said:
The actual station is off the air?? (.89 MHz)

Ill have to read that article.......

No, sorry "The Dude" for any confusion. MusicradioWLS.com is an internet-only radio station with no affiliation to the current WLS, AM or FM.

It had been a while since I checked into Major Logan's site, but it appears to still be in the "moving" phase. One has to wonder if the station will return, or it will fall in the permanently "under construction" or "coming soon" mode.

Website has expired

Unfortunately, if one goes to http://www.musicradiowls.com/ one will find that the website has not been re-registered and is up for sale. It surely doesn't appear as if that wonderful website/music channel will be back online. I'm glad I did get to enjoy it for a while.

The station mentioned earlier was WQMA 1520 in Marks, MS. They did indeed have a show where they played 8-tracks on the air. Unfortunately the station lost is license due to an over due fine several years ago. The station had been running over power. It was supposed to be 250 watts daytime only, but was actually putting out around 400 watts. They also had a bad habit of staying on the air past it's sign off time. It actually operated without a license for a short time after it had been deleted.
