Back in 1990-1992 a 50K watt station out of the S/W burbs Morris, IL 104.7FM called themselves WCFL & played 60s & 70s tunes from the Big10-SuperCFL era.

They had all the original jingles, Chickenman episodes, etc. but it didn't last (too far away from Chicago) the station soon went belly-up. I heard it was mismanaged & ran out of money. Was bought out by MoodyBible radio.

They did a great job of recreating the era though.

Illinois Bible Institute bought and owns the station. Simulcasts WBGL in Champaign.
