MY 102.5

With MY 102, there are a lot of clear understandings: With the poorest of prep, they changed format, and after a short time, it was clear that they had Botched The Flip. When something like this Flops, it bruzes the ego of the one responsible for the launch. We may have to wait for this CC Riff to pass to see any formatic adjustment; sighting that "The Stubbornness" might get fired. It's really stupid! Had they came outta the chute, with a Full Live Airstaff, and a six month bank of well-planned Promotions, they would have been taking butt, and kickin' names. That format requires alotta playlist maintenance, and is known to do better in bigger markets. Ego launched it, Ego got overconfident, and like most drunks on the Titanic...they simply thought...everything's OK...we're just stoppin' for ice!

Boot Scooter , there is a station in Anderson for sale and you could buy it run it program it and well you wouldn't have much to talk about then

I hate to Pee in your Cheerio's, but aside from the 250watt WAIM-AM, there is not any Anderson Station for sale. A group recently made a stab at WRIX-FM, Honea Path, but it, and 1280 WANS-AM are not for sale, per the FCC. They will not be for sale until the current owner allegedly follows through, with a list of corrections. Now, no one likes to be wrong, but you sorta painted yourself in a corner. Regardless to your stab, MY 102 is a blatant FAILURE... So, Face The Truth!
I am not the only one that sees it this way...

Boot ScootWAIM is more than 250 you can pick it up in Seneca and yes Dorothy you can buy a station in Anderson just call the owner , talked to him the other day , you should teach radio , sure seems you know a lot about it, which station are you on now, put ya money where , well you know what we mean

When it comes to market history, and linage,...most of you young Hammerheads have to guess at everthing you type. Much like Consultants, know-it all,...yet know nothing! I, myself, and the other members of The Think Tank are amuzed at you shallowness. When I was pulling a 9-share, and Big paychecks...you guys were filling your diapers with a 4-share, and eating corn chex. Rick (voice of Zeus) Driver has had WAIM for sale for a very long time, everyone knows that. Small AM's are out there, but since the FCC floundered on them years ago, it's nearly impossible to make any money; no listeners. Some even say that the AM listeners died-out. I worked six of them, and know it well. The real zone for AM's was the late seventies to the early 80's. When Frank Outlaw purchased WAIM-AM, WCAC-FM, and Channel 40 TV from the Wilton Hall Family, it was the AM that paid the bills for the whole group. Max Mace, Rod Ramsey, and Jerry Howard came from WESC to launch WIAM-AM Country. It was both Live & local, and a license to print money. Today, it's just the Op, thanks to Waffling FCC. When all FCC complience is completed, WRIX-FM will sell, and it will be a player. For now, both the news, and the curiousity is...WCCP??????????????????

When it comes to the past, we bow to your superior knowledge. What have you been up to lately?

Well,...since you asked, and must know: Today, awake around nine, prepared my own breakfast, Steak & Eggs, Grits, Toast, and three cups of my stove-top brewed, French Roast coffee...a standard morning, in my debt-free, lifestyle. Opened my mail, and enjoyed listening to my e-bay purchased, (Remastered) ARS CD; "Underdog". The late Ronnie Hammond's vocals on "Indigo Passion" is exquisite through headphones. At Lowe's, I purchased Round-up Weed Kill. Good stuff, extremely thorough. Have you ever noticed how much Weeds are like Consultants? Thin, Green, Directionless, always frowning in their arrogate demeanor. Mowed my lawn, with my new..."No Clutch?"...Lawn Tractor. A combo of Green Tea & Gatorade in the beverage holder, that I engineered myself. After smelling like a Billygoat, a hot shower, and answering my e-mail, before a few Skin's Hot Dogs for a late lunch. Tonight, I'm in the beginning stages of planning my North Charleston trip. I'm again going on an Antique Furniture, and Vinyl Record hunt, next weekend. Oh, the smell of She Crab soup, with double sherry! So, now you know. How 'bout you? What do you do, other than eek-out your meager existence?

Wally Mullinax wrote a great book of radio in the day, good reading material, and he was very humble about his success, good reading Scoot Poot,,,

I'm retired. The wife and I like to sit out on the deck and watch our landscaper take care of the yard.

jpdjsc,...I knew (the late) Wally Mullinax!

Salty Dog,...Landscapers are like Consultants. I don't pay anyone, when I can do it better. The money I save goes to my collecting hobbies, inwhichid(southern term), I also turn cash.

That's MY102's problem...their Landscaper can't even mow!

in a general kind of way what is good ratings? wjmz has good ratings the country stations are considered to have good ratings. after that what are good ratings for any station in the market. if 102.5 has good ratings then someone else doesn't. the math never works out

I don't know when this started, but it's now My 102-5 (no point) with a new female imaging voice.

Listened a little last week and don't remember hearing it. If they're trying to re-image (although way too late for that), that would tend to kill off the rumors earlier this year that they were going to flip again - although nothing would shock me.

Maybe they'll do a two year transition to CHR :)

I consider "low rated" to include the bottom feeders that are always at the bottom of the books. Of course, there are cases where stations do badly in 12+ books but excel greatly in a particular demo that allows them to be considered a success, but most stations that are at the bottom of even 12+ don't have that luck. Urban and country do well. Hot AC and Active Rock are the bottom feeders. The rest fluctuate or just get average ratings. I do not have access to any breakdowns, but MY appeared to be doing better with mainstream AC, even if it wasn't that well. Their ratings have been consistently lower over the past 18 months.

The new imaging isn't very good at all...it sounds sloppy and difficult to understand...almost like AAA/Alternative imaging from what I've heard. I hadn't listened to them for weeks until this weekend. I notice they're doing an "80s summer shuffle" or something and were going to play Pat Benatar. It sounds like they're regressing!

WTF?. I'm in Myrtle Beach this weekend and didn't know they were doing this. It's only been like a month or so that they FINALLY changed their DJs to saying '90s through today and this soon after they do an 80s weekend?!?! Wow, they really don't seem to want to right the ship. Talk about confusing listeners. An all 90s weekend would have been the right move if they wanted to do something like that.

On a side note, been listening to WKZQ and while they have a very diverse music selection, it seems like they're leaning a little more active than they were a year ago when I was here.

It's not all 80s, but apparently every now and then they're throwing an 80s track in. They've been doing it for a little while now, because I saw a complaint about it that was posted the other day on their Facebook page. I wish either MY or X would do something dedicated to the 90s on the weekends.

I wonder if KZQ is trying to adjust the music to better fit in with that horrible morning show.

I just listened for a little bit again and heard Bryan Adams and Men At Work. Nothing Magic wouldn't play.

How can you say "90s to now" and play a 30+ year old song? Makes no sense. The imaging voice is very AAA or Modern AC'ish, but unfortunately they don't sound like they're going in either direction.
