My Apologies.

I apologize for starting what looked like a minor uprising on the board.

I didn't realize I was going "out of bounds" by doing my tv 61 rant.

It only came about because as I was doing my little reviews on TV and Radio, I got to thinking about cookie cutter most of the stations have gotten.

It used to be that all of the TV stations, (especially UHF) had their own little quirks and charms that made them unique.

Now you could swap channels 43 and 55 to any other city for their UPN and WB affiliates and not know the difference.

The same idea goes for radio.

It used to be stations like 1260 or 1420 AM stood out and had a charm about them that made people proud to be fans of theirs.

Now, all big cities have a Radio Disney and a Salem conservatalk station that sounds like all the rest.

When I was going on about TV 61, I was just thinking about all the dopey things that I remembered from my younger days and just put fingers to keyboard.

Again, sorry for going "off the board", and I'll try in the future to stay "inside the lines".

There is both a national and classic TV board..sure you're posts would be welcome there.<P ID="signature">______________

Those boards seem to be for network/national programming and networks. I think he just wanted to talk a little about local Cleveland TV. I too see no harm in talking a little TV, especially on the week that Cleveland TV news staple Tim Taylor retires. Can't upset the moderator though. Let's all get back in line and on-topic.

Maybe we can start another thread whining about WKNR. Because we haven't heard enough about that!

I bet WKNR's PD emails you now, demanding to know your name and why you hate him.

After I started reading this thread the old WKBF Channel 61 logo and jingle flashed in my head. "Something wonderfull's happening on Channel 61 Watch it and see!"

I was being sarcastic. My point was that we've already gone there, over and over again. Sometimes it's refreshing to read and post about different things, such as TV.

Well since Tim Taylor started out in radio, I think anything concerning Fox-8 or Cleveland television should be fair game. I also think that someone needs to grow up if they really were that upset about the TV thread. I read your posts Mr. Moderator, seemed like you had a really bad day at the office and that were on a bit of a power trip (and who could blame you if you really do indeed work at 850am WKNR?)

Please stop deleting threads under the guise that they aren't on topic when clearly it's you who seems disturbingly overprotective of your little site.

I don't think he works at WKNR...

Do you know how many people who are in TV started in radio? So, given you're stupid analogy, then everyone on TV is fair game. Your analogy explains your half-assed response.

Are you maybe 10 or 11 with that response?

Maybe you should learn how to read. That's another thing you can ask Santa for, in addition to "How To Not Act Immature For Dummies 101" which I understand is out on paperback.

It can certainly be arranged that you will no longer able to join us. That could be my present to you, if you're going to continue to be a jackass. How do you like my response? Ask me if I give an ish first.
