I apologize for starting what looked like a minor uprising on the board.
I didn't realize I was going "out of bounds" by doing my tv 61 rant.
It only came about because as I was doing my little reviews on TV and Radio, I got to thinking about cookie cutter most of the stations have gotten.
It used to be that all of the TV stations, (especially UHF) had their own little quirks and charms that made them unique.
Now you could swap channels 43 and 55 to any other city for their UPN and WB affiliates and not know the difference.
The same idea goes for radio.
It used to be stations like 1260 or 1420 AM stood out and had a charm about them that made people proud to be fans of theirs.
Now, all big cities have a Radio Disney and a Salem conservatalk station that sounds like all the rest.
When I was going on about TV 61, I was just thinking about all the dopey things that I remembered from my younger days and just put fingers to keyboard.
Again, sorry for going "off the board", and I'll try in the future to stay "inside the lines".
