The powers that be at UPN were always pretty clueless on programming IMHO, which is why I suspect they are running the ship at CW. Take the worst shows from two networks and put them into one crapfest.

They were smart enough to greenlight Girlfriends, Everybody Hates Chris, and The Game, the latter of which has enjoyed a Family Guy-like revival on BET. (Did they give up on 'Game' too early?)
Yeah, those are good shows. I never watched "Girlfriends" and "The Game" didn't please me once I realized Tia Mowry wasn't going to be at the center of it. But I heard these were quality shows.

"Chris" was my favorite show on The CW while it was there. Even without Chris Rock's hilarious narration it was a well done show.

They just dropped another quality show because no one was watching. "Life Unexpected" was about a 16-year-old girl who searched for her birth parents after a series of miserable foster homes and no one wanting to adopt her. As is always the case on the CW site, the fans of that show are upset. I'll miss it, but mainly because Britt Robertson was so good in the role. I didn't like her mother, except in the scenes where mother and daughter were together.

"90210" has some good acting but it's mostly relationship garbage. The girls look great.

"Hellcats" has the advantage of good-looking girls in skimpy outfits dancing around, and relationship garbage, but also some good storylines. The star is a prelaw student trying to get an innocent man out of prison.

"Smallville" has definitely improved its quality in its final seasons as we prepare for Clark Kent's transition into Superman. Although he already works for The Daily Planet and Lois Lane is already his girlfriend. And Lex Luthor seems to be dead. And every DC Comics superhero seems to pay a visit. Or in the case of Green Arrow, becomes a regular.
