Gusto, the claim that this thread is not a competition is correct. Nobody will actually admit it, but the point of this perticular thread is ego stroking.

That's exactly what I was talking about 1club radio. Their non dance hits stations are great. i just hate their site for some reason.
 
you all crack me up. ego stroking... family.... maybe it's 'community' albeit disfunctional. most of us like to have fun and inform...and at times call bullshit when it pops up. if we were all at some place sitting at a table having this conversation, we would be yelling, laughing, getting pissed, laughing and in the end - nobody died.
 
I don't care if you like Energy 98 or not. I'm actually kind of glad you don't. I'd hate to get emails and requests from you bitching about golds and lame songs. hehe. Now who's gonna get that table for us in AC this summer?

But that IS a Dance channel. It is also great, in addition to their non dance ones too. They also have cheesy dance formats as well, but this is my favorite one. It doesn't focus on monthy Promo Only Edits, or the force fed domestic Billboard remixes: http://1club.fm/cp_houseMiami.htm

Hypethetically, "Not being a fan" doesn't equal no taste. Thats what your deleted post implied. Then you went on to say some really arrogant stuff. I'll admit you had a FEW good tracks in your playlist

I noticed a thing about 1club radio. they do not have a lot of big dj's for their shows but the djs they have are incredible. i am listening to a show on their electro house station that is killer. i also heard a cool dj perry show on their 80's radio station. i think i have changed my mind about 1club radio. i don't like their site but their shows and stations are really cool. i am not a fan of their dance hits stations. i listen to their 931 beat station over that.

i took charles advice and listened to di.fm radio's trance and he is right. i have heard a lot of new stuff on there. it sounds too much like pandora though. A 10 minute trance song with 10 seconds of dead air of space then the next song. SNOOZER

i also listened to energy 98-1 and fusion and their mixes are awesome! i do not know the dj's playing but i could not turn it off. I actually see myself flipping back and forth to them.

I can't listen to iParty Radio. Their stream is buffering really bad

I am starting to think that i am wrong about everything i said. Each dance radio has their own niche that they cater to and in the end they are all doing a wonderful job supporting the dance scene.

Thanks for the kind words. We have 3 DJ's in our Club House. Bit Error is on Friday night. Justin Dohman and Richard Fraioli are on Saturday night. Bit Error just remixed a big name with another big name (sorry, not suppose to say who or I would). Look for it in TLR soon though :)
 
I don't think it has been a fight. I think the dance stations are all friends with each other and talk crap. i could be wrong though

Crap...mmmm good. Most of us are friends and hang out at conventions and chat online. The dance thread has been a little slow lately. We needed to wake it up!
 
Actually MikeO won't have to because it's part of our new look gathering in Atlantic City this year. More details as we get closer but the meeting will be part of something that we are putting together with stations and labels on the Monday of the DJ Expo.

Not sure if we'll do a panel or townhall style meeting yet but if you have any suggestions, hit me up at: [email protected]

What kind of topics are being discussed? I think it should be a townhall style definitely.
