"Nash Bash"

94.7 just started promoting a country tour that apparently is coming to the NYC area. "Nash Bash is coming..."

Have they started playing real commercials yet, or is Cumulus so cheap that they're not even going to hire a sales team for WNSH, let alone DJs?

There was an announcement on the air that the event will take place February 18, 19, and 20 at the Roseland Ballroom.
Artists that were mentioned were Randy Houser, Lady Antebellum, Justin Moore, and Lonestar.
They stated that more stars will be announced this afternoon.
Not bad for a brand new station!
It seems unusual for a station to hold such a big event before they have dj's that can promote it.

I guess that DJ's are comming up very soon to promote that.

On Twitter, it says this:

#NASHBASH @KixBrooks @TheHenningsens @saraevansmusic & @BrantleyGilbert. Another announcement tonight at 6pm! #NASHFM pic.twitter.com/MXeGIb0r.

Lets wait and listen!

A good friend of mine posted on my Facebook page "Three to Six Months I give the station" The Sales Staff will NEVER be able to sell it" So far she is unfortunately proving herself right. I have heard virtually no ads on Nash FM. Some one said they heard one spot. So maybe Allan Sniffen was right. Maybe Country cannot sell here. I am concerned that Nash still has few if any commercials. HOPEFULLY they are selling and just not airing any spots just yet. So far I listened an hour and NO commercials at all. Still just music, liners, and jingles. Maybe I was wrong about country billing higher than all the failed formats over the years in new York City. Thus far they are not. Also in the January book WFME/WRXP/WNSH PULLED NO MEASURABLE AUDIENCE...Not even a .1. Hopefully this was because WPLJ got some of the credit for the ratings...Hope things pick up soon.

Please. The station has been on the air for 3 weeks. There is zero reason for concern. They have barely even started building out the national brand.

What? The January PPMs aren't even released yet. Are you referencing weeklies?

Also, as far as ads, as everyone else is staying, the station is new, it has not been promoting itself and Cumulus is still in the early stages of building the brand. There are a few spots sprinkled in here and there. Any audience they have been able to garner up is via word of mouth and social media.

Definitely FAR too early in the game to make any assumptions or come to any conclusions.

A lot of times when stations are brand new they run commercial free. Remember when WAPP signed on they had a commercial free summer? Other stations will do 10,000 songs in a row. It's early, relax.

On Sunday afternoon I heard a few commercials on 94.7. They were all national ads, not local. One had the "mention promo code Nash" tie-in.

Don't recognise any of those names.
We abandoned country when country abandoned them.

This is not a page with an example of intellectual observation.

Ad schedules from agencies aren't instant. Buys are monthly and quarterly at best. It's been 3 weeks.

Also, the January numbers aren't released until February 18th. That last book you saw didn't include any numbers for the 94.7 frequency because Family Radio didn't subscribe. There's a chance you won't see any publicly released numbers for months.
