Curb first released "Held" by Natalie Grant in January of this year. In fact, they kind of cut short their promotion of "Live For Today," which I thought deserved a little more time, in the process. "Held" didn't catch fire right away, though. My station added it back in January, played it for a good long time, then put it out to pasture. But the onset of Katrina et. al. brought the song a lot more airplay nationwide. Now here on the verge of November, many stations still have "Held" in a current rotation. I'm pretty sure the song is no longer charting (at least on R&R) because it had been on the chart too long, not because of a lack of airplay. It would be an interesting thing to see how the song would be charting now. I don't think it ever achieved number one status, but with its incredible longevity, might this really be the #1 song of 2005?
