NBC stumbles ahead

Maybe Phillips would like to diversify and go into owning a TV/Cable/Movie Studio conglomerate.....

Or... Maybe Not :D

Only if the TV stations are spun off to an American company -- Philips is a Dutch company.

Oh, there'd be an American component of something .....

If the French (Vivendi SA/Vivendi Universal Entertainment) can do it, then so can the Dutch ! ! !

Philips has already been there and done that. Remember PolyGram?

The only thing that makes any possible sense here is that CHUCK is a filler until they can get a similar idea up and running.
(programming from the same Genre)

I mean, to say so respectfully, regardless of ratings for CHUCK, someone high enough up must have some faith in the idea that ANY television programming that is all about a guy that is both a store employee and a spy of some sort has (Very?) good validation for good to great ratings.

Why else would the decision to keep CHUCK running be validated?

It's a fun show and good quality. I don't get why it never got ratings.
