NBC's 2011-2012 lineup is revealed

They answered the question, broadly, of what fills the void if there's no NFL...it's not Dateline.

Unless we have the NFL this fall, I won't be watching anything on this network...

Bad news: Last I heard, the lockout was back on as of Monday...

10-11 p.m. – “THE PLAYBOY CLUB” (a '60s era drama set in Chicago's first Playboy Club)

Apparently their experience with Las Vegas taught NBC that an hour-long drama series with
a bunch of hot looking babes is good to get you through a season and a half anyway.

It's funny you think of Las Vegas here, as Playboy Club probably owes its existence (from concept to its NBC pickup) thanks the critical and ratings success of Mad Men on cable. That one AMC show has somehow made adults under 45 'nostalgic' for semi-fictionalized versions '50s and '60s, where the writers can take a few creative liberties without having to consider current technology or current events like a present-day sitcom or drama might be expected to acknowledge. That, and the writers have all kinds of historical references and resources they can reach for to influence plot turns.

That's not to say this NBC show will feature equally comparable writing or characters as the ones in Matthew Weiner's pet project, but it shouldn't surprise anyone if that's the benchmark. At least viewers won't have to wait until 2012 to try it out.

ya mean like The Black Donnellys?

I was wondering if The Game Show "Minute to Win In" is coming Back? Apparantely, The Peacock has been running it half to death, and It might come back in Syndication in 2012.
