I have finally gotten my aircheck of NNIS copied and I have uploaded the first hour for anyone to download and listen to. I was going to upload the other two hours, but, I thought I'd find out how many people wanted this item.
KRUX Glendale was the first to sign up for NNIS when it was announced (it was in Broadcasting magazine). It is only by coincidence that that was the station I was able to record.
The first hour of NNIS was 6-7 am EDT, June 18, 1975. Here in Arizona, we don't use DST so hour 6 am New York Time is 3 am Mountain Standard Time, which is the same as Pacific Daylight Time.
KRUX 1360 kHz 5000 watts day/500 watts directional nightime (at that time).
here is the link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/ibaacd
Please let me know on this board if you are interested in this file and are downloading it. There had been interest expressed before, but I want to know if the interest is still there.
Happy listening.
Mike
