New 10PM show on KTVK

I, too, watched the debut of 3TV News at 10. I kept thinking "what's so different about this?". It came across as an refreshed/updated version of 3TV News at 9 with two anchors. I kept waiting for the social media elements. Besides Carey's gesture at a screen with Facebook on it, a couple mentions of social media, and a question from Facebook for the TSA, there was no fresh social media content.

Honestly, I wonder if this is a way to introduce Fields Moseley to the Phoenix audience and eventually making him the main co-anchor at KTVK. GEAZ and 3TV News at 9 could use solid co-anchors and a general updating/refreshing.

The new newscast is certainly no "Twitter@10", not even close!

Watched both the News@9 and the new 10PM show on Tuesday. I agree with an earlier post that the 10PM show was a rehash of the news stories on News@9 with the exception of a small excerpt from Carey's interview with Mayor Gordon. The show last night seemed to have many gliches. Fields began talking about two earthquakes and started with the one in Colorado. Only problem was his graphics only showed CA, NV, UT and AZ. Then the graphic changed to the Virginia area and he seemed to get flustered. Their use of "social media" was limited to two segments with postings from Facebook...the first were from 5 hours earlier and the second set were from Monday. Nothing fresh or interactive like other local shows are doing.

Over all, I see no need to turn on 3TV at either 9 or 10pm. I heard only one new or updated (the vote for a strike by the bus drivers) story from the early evening shows.

So, the 10pm news will rehash the 9pm news, but add facebook & twitter to it's content. Oh Fricken NO!!! There's not enough news in this market to fill a half hour broadcast, YET ALONE a back to back News Show. EXTREMELY BAD IDEA.

I was just hoping that ONE newscast would just do a decent job of the news. I guess I'm just spoiled -- having grown up in Seattle. Here, we have the sensationalist 5 and 15, the hypergraphical 10, the "touchy-feely", nongraphical 3, and the "weird building name"-obsessed 12.

Gotta love it?? ??? Don't the other larger market stations' News Departments have similar personality styles like you categorized?

Then these Phoenix styles are reflecting how the GMs want to draw more news watchers... just play the game.

I was really hoping for another as some call it "IPAD" show but its the same ol blah blah boring news. Not sure how they seperate themselves from the others at 10 but Good Luck haha.

In all fairness to the uh, ladies, don't they normally hang out on "EVB"
between 16th and 32nd streets? (From what I've heard. )
