Let's see Dr. Laura was doing radio shows, writing books, doing book tours, worshiping Satan, making media appearances (when she still was relevant). When did she have time to stay home and spend time with her family as she told other women to do? In addition to being a sexual deviant, didn't her son also try to burn down their house when he was a teenager. Maybe if Dr. Laura had put her family ahead of her career, her son would have been better adjusted.

Prahaps you should check into someone's background before taking their advice seriously. She still shows herself to be a satan worshiping racist recently.

Dr. Laura's private and public life is well discussed on the internet. Her radio show came on nationally as the internet becoming the rage so much was discussed about her then. Her nudie pictures were all over the internet then. Her hypocrital personal life was discussed on several radio programs back in the day too.

It's hard to stay anonymous on the internet as a public figure nowadays. Just ask Rex Ryan. At least Rex isn't lecturing people about morality while living a kinky life (as Dr. Laura did). It would be interesting to see Mrs. Ryan call Dr. Homewrecker sometime to see how Dr. Laura would react to the Ryans personal lives.

Finally some levity / humor injected here! All these affiliates combined would have zero listeners.
I got suspicious when I saw 940 out of Montreal listed, knowing they had been off the air for almost a year!

OK, WZUM has been dark for some time now, and the government of Craftom Borough, which owns the land the towers are on gave the current owners 30 days to move them or they'll be torn down. There has been a lot of discussion about that station here.

WRDD in Ebensburg is current silent for technical reasons. It is scheduled to go back on the air in the Summer of 2011.

WAMD only a 300 watt station, and is currently off the air. It is located in the 174th largest urban area in the nation.

WPHX is a sports format station in Maine, carrying ESPN.

WOAM has been silent since January 2010. Prior to that it was an Adult Standards/MOR station.

WVHF is off the air, pending a sale to Holy Family Radio, a Catholic broadcaster who plans to change the station's format to Catholic religious programming.

WHGR AM 1290 was sold to Clear Channel in 2001. It appears to currently be silent. It's almost impossible to find current information about it using search engines.

WAGE is a currently silent News/Talk/Sports format station.

There currently is no KROL on 1170 in Hilo, HI. The only AM station in Hawaii on 1170 is KJPN broadcasting Asian programmin in Honolulu.

KPBL is apparently still on the air, with a country-western format.

KMPH in Modesto is currently silent.

CINW was an English language Canadian radio station located in Montreal, Quebec. It went silent in January 2010.

So, my only question is did you look up a bunch of silent stations to post as her new affiliate list as a prank, in which case I tip my hat to you for going to the trouble to find those silent stations, or were you sucked in by someone else who dug up the list of silent stations?
 
I listen to her show on one of the nation's most prestigious commercial broadcast stations... WJR in Detroit, Michigan. They are a big-watt giant.
They've run the show at night. One of their liners to go back into the show is "We're going to miss you, Dr. Laura".
 
I'll miss the liners that WJR uses to go back into her show after a commercial break almost as much as her show. Many of them are done tongue-in-cheek, and quite clever. They have one that references "more screwed up lives" which is quite funny... and then there's "Dr. Laura will see you now".
 
Yes, it was a lame attempt at humor. All of those stations are silent
(or where when I first found the info).

If it helps any, I wasn't frothing at the mouth to attack Dr. Laura, so I got the joke and appreciated it. At least one person got a chuckle out of it.
