100 kilowatt FM stations putting the on-air mic in front of a TV speaker!!!! I've heard it on two such FM stations this mornings! WOW

I was on the NC Coast for the storm, and listening into radio there I heard nothing but TV simulcasts.
This was an opportunity for radio to shine and it didn't. The day after the storm ended, they had a local man on in the morning taking calls, which was nice... but he kept talking up how they were going to throw it to NewsChannel99 or whatever TV. And when they finally rejoined the TV coverage, the TV reporter did the cliche thing: He told the audience to look at the scene behind him as the camera zooms in.
Great local radio. Pat yourselves on the back, E NC and OBX station owners.

I wasn't on the OBX, but I was further down the coast. kept spinning the dial (hitting the seek button, actually) and that's all I heard. What other investigating could I do?
While I still had power to watch TV, I saw each local station spend plenty of time every 15 minutes promoting the fact they were simulcasted on a group of radio stations. Each station seemed to "partner" with a specific radio group. Pretty sad that "The Talk Station" or "News/Talk" had no ability to do coverage for radio.
As for the station on the OBX that stayed on and did what a radio station should do, that's great. Good to know. OBX got hit worse than where I was , and so the people living there deserve more. Glad they got it.
How can anyone but a news stud know the answer to that one? Pull out your books man, do some investigatin'!NewsStud said:What other investigating could I do?
NewsStud still didn't give any attribution to who "they" is when he changed from the universal subject of "radio."NewsStud said:What a shameful disappointment.
