Well ok its not a new AM station but it will be a new format that is currently not on the air! The format change will happen Jan 1st so keep your recorders ready!More info to come!!

I see KEYH, KYST, KRTX ( Being that Aleluya Radio Broadcast just purchased it) KLAT and KQUE staying how they are. And all the other spanish station have shared time slots with other languages except for 880 am in conroe. So this narrows the list to?

Put your recorders away. No changes came to the Houston AM band on the 1st. I have noticed that Mix has seemingly went on autopilot. Yesterday morning, for about an hour between 6-7a, there were no commercials, no voices, only what sounded like the background music of a Casio piano. At 7a, the TOH hit and the station went back to its normal rotation. Is this due to the holidays or is the CBS hand already in Mix's cookie jar?

Ok so things on the technical side were not ready for the flip but it will happen soon.
Ahhh ppl on this board are funny I can really care less if you realize hoy much insight I have in what actualy happens in houston radio world. I just heard we have the first format flip or change in the Houston-galviston market KGBC is now La MEJOr 1540 and now the ony tropical station in the market playing bachata merengue and cumbia so here you go the first format change! expect another formal flip soon but this time on the FM band.
