Well not long before the official showing of the new product. What is all that buzz about??.Could it be maybe some test files are already out? My Oh My........
You'll be waiting by the kitchen door in the moonlight when you hear it. I'm serious about it when I said there's something in it that seems like it's been HALF of the missing equation in broadcast audio processing. A technique I've personally been using in my own mastering for the last 5 years, but completely automated VERY well, and I've actually been using it on some recent masters in part of my chain. =) It also has HUGE potential for the HiFi and even general purpose end user markets.BobOnTheJob said:Just discovered something pretty cool about the current Breakaway Broadcast software. As there's no equalizer as such in BBP, I placed an ART 355 stereo 31 band EQ in front of it, expecting that I'd be pretty limited in what could be done without introducing ducking & holes in the audio. BBP never stops amazing me. As a torture test, I pushed +12db at 40, 50 & 63 hz and +12db at 8khz, 10khz & 12.5khz. The AGC didn't get blown away by all the excessive EQ! It's like it knew to pass it through to the multiband limiters which of course showed more gain reduction. I still say if the new box is even a little better than the existing BBP, Katie bar the door.

You don't know Leif and Corny well enough then.ChiefOperator said:More competition keeps things interesting.
Of course it is.ChiefOperator said:As for NAB, Leif said some time ago that, yes, it would be there. I don't know whether that is still the plan.
