NEW BREAKAWAY BOX

Nice pics.... Very Nice..... So, it looks like a two RU box. What is the hardware? Intel processors, Marian hardware??

Thanks for sharing those pics..

Thanks for that. And probably running XP Embedded, I think you mentioned before?

I wonder whether this new box will put to rest the concerns over using Windows based machines as the main audio processor...

Have air checks been posted yet?

Well,i still stand by my statement. The 9 won't change that. But i am happy for leif.Omnia needed something to replace the aging 5 and 6 so this was a good  fit.Looking forward to the new BBP software.

I think omnia shouldn't replace the 6 their are still some markets that omnia is non existent. How come in market 41 omnia 6 hasn't come here yet??? Every station here is using old digital optimods.

I have been reading a few post freak day blogs.........well; it seems the Omnia 9 stole the show. I wonder how it will affect the Omnia 11 sales, and how much future shared technology will find its way into the 11 from the 9? My take is Frank was smart to join forces with Leif as Omnia can help bring the hardware and advertising to life much faster. The next year will be really exciting for audio processing enthusiasts! ;)

One reason of replacing the aging 6 is because the hardware that it's made off is becoming harder to get.

The O11 had ground shaking low that was just amazing to hear and feel. What a machine, if I was on the market for a new processor it would be nr 1 on the list to demo.

I've been reading a few posts as well. The box is PC based: Intel i7; Windows XP; Marian Trace Pro sound card, to be replaced by a custom sound board.

Yes, the posts are reporting that it sounds incredible. Air checks should be available soon.

When will there be units available for Demo? I know we're still early in the process here, but I'd like to hear it against the 11.

I suppose the next unit to be put out to pasture is the 06EXi. I'd say 11 years was a great run for it, and it can still hold its own. That, in my mind, would give Omnia the One, .9 and .11 which should cover every price point.

The BBP software does AM. Will the .9 also do AM???? I've got a couple of clients that could benefit from it.

There will be activity in both directions with regards to features. Some from the 11 to the 9, and the 9 to the 11.

Fantastic idea; that is just perfect.

Can't wait to get my hands on the O.20! ;D

I've been lucky to have the 11 in the shop for awhile now, soon it will go to it's new home at the transmitter site. Hopefully the update will be released soon for the other functions, namely HD (going to use it to feed a web stream).

I've been a user of the Breakaway software and know what it can do. I'll second the "Wow. I want one now" statement!!
