New CCM Station in Indy

WJCF/Morristown 88.1 is still on...it's studios are in Greenfield. WHZN sends everything north to protect WJCF.

I was listening to WHZN in Rushville last night, then lost it eventually near Andersonville towards Metamora on Hwy 52. I am not sure why I was hearing it so far to the East as it protects 88.1 that direction.

It seems to be similar to 88.1 East of Indy then looses signal downtown Indy. The departure of Channel 6 has helped a lot.

How is it South of Edinburgh? You can see the tower from your location?

Haven't checked it south yet, but it and WJCF are both there on the Bose Wave Radio with line cord antenna. Their tower is 12 miles west & visible at ground level. Looking at their pattern, WJCF is at 54 degrees & there is more signal going toward WJCF than from 60 - 320 degrees. It's no secret that this one is a laser aimed at Indy...I mean New Whiteland. I'm surprised to hear that it doesn't get into downtown Indy well...the predicted 60db circle goes north of the monument.

The 60 ends well prior to SR 9. The 40 Ends prior to SR9.

I am wondering why the signal aimed Due North has no downtown signal. It gets better as you head East. Like it is aimed towards the East side. I guess the surveyor will tell us if the height and azimuth are like the other Calvary Chapel station.

They seem to be using several Trade Marked phrases used by WJCF. "Encouragement for your walk" is one. Not sure why but using a portion of another station's name is expected these days.
