New Cleveland Ratings?

Absolutely!!! Best day in town--Sunday. Wish they had more than one day, but that happens.

MMS VS XTM

MMS is sounding pretty good musically, and the ratings show it.

XTM should bow down to Rover, as his show is the ONLY thing keeping that station afloat. I just looked at the book Monday, and he has HUGE numbers 18-34 and 18-49, and did very well with males 25-54. If you remove his show, XTM might as well turn off the transmitter. I didn't do it, but I'd bet if you took out the morning show and averaged out the other dayparts, they'd barely crack a 1-share (and I'm not being overdramatic).

I'm wondering if Infinity will put that show on WNCX and kill XTM, or if they'll let him carry the station and put one of those Stern replacements on NCX. Will be interesting. I suppose whatever they would make them the most money. I'd lean toward WNCX, seeing as if his numbers are this strong now (beat Stern in target demo), they'll only get better after Stern. He really stands the most to gain after Stern leaves out of all the AM shows in town, and WNCX's better signal would help out.

XTM seems to have made some musical adjustments after the morning show as well. We'll see if that helps in the next book, probably too soon to tell in this book.

I think the consistent struggle at WXTM has more to do with the music they are playing then who's on-the-air (for the most part). Their musical lean obviously caters to a small niche that doesn't have a wide appeal in this market. But, if the station is doing well in billing with the numbers they have, then I guess that's what's really important.

Didn't WMMS do that for a couple of months back in the '80's and still pulled a 13-share???
